Venezuela

Guys, We Expected a Victory but Have Mercy (a.k.a. Making History 2: The revenge)

Hello bloggers welcome to my review of the exciting game of Venezuela-Tahiti. Wow. Just wow. I have seen great performances but this is exaggerated. My theory is they took the talent of all Serie A games and put it in this game (seriously, those games on the weekend sucked ass). You may ask why the two titles. I couldn’t decide between the two and said what the hell, and put it there. Yeah, not an interesting story. Anyway, Venezuela was completely brilliant by winning 8-0 and a holy shit by the footballing world. Seriously, I entered Goal.com and ESPN.com (well the latin american version) and the were all talking about the great victory. I’m not saying Tahiti is the best team in the world because they were thrashed by Spain 8-0 as well, but still we have officially qualified to eighth finals (i don’t know how its called) making it an impressive debut by todays standards.

Remember our hero from last match? Who scored the last goal? Del Valle? Read my last review. Well he made a hat trick today, and our other forward whose father was a Venezuelan soccer hero also scored, Salomon Rondon. This game I sadly missed but saw the repetition and it was outstanding. 6 goals from our 2 forwards, 1 goal from our defender Jose Velazquez, and another goal from the other defender ( who i think is the son of another legendary Venezuelan) Oscar Rojas. Now lets talk statistics, 1st of all we had 24 shots and 15 shots on goal, they had 8 shots with 3 shots on goal (ouch). If that’s not impressive enough, they had 2 red cards (ouch). And if THAT isnt impressive enough, in the last 3 minutes of the game, Venezuela scored 3 times (ouch). It was really an outstanding game and i was hoping a victory, but this passed the line between being proud of your team , and feeling sorry for the other. Next game is against Spain, who shares 1st place with us. If we win, we are in 1st place, if we lose or draw, we are in second, which its still awesome because it is the 1st time in history we get to do it. VIVA LA VINOTINTO. The game is on Thursday. Here is a link to the highlights, I apologize if it doesn’t work. Oh and Rondon and Del Valle have entered into World Cup History for being the 1st game to ever have 2 hat tricks in one game.
